On August 21, 2019 Mazda Motorsports announced the Spec MX-5 – a new club racing car and class structure based on third-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata. The next ten Spec MX-5 kits purchased (conversion or build) receive two of the four Penske single adjustable shocks (racer price before discounts and taxes = $549ea). Promotion ends March 31, 2021. (See additional promotion below for purchases by March 31, 2021.)
Racers who purchase a build or conversion kit from Mazda Motorsports between February 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022 receive a:
- 10% discount on all parts in the kit (previously a 20% discount)
- 10% off 99%+ of the stock parts for the Spec MX-5 (includes RX-8 hubs) through Jan 31, 2023
- If bought by March 31, 2021, the 10% discount on 99%+ stock parts for the SMX extends through Jan 31, 2024
Reminder – Racers who bought a build or conversion kit by January 31, 2020 receive a:
- 15% discount on most stock parts for the Spec MX-5 (includes RX-8 hubs) through January 31, 2021
