Spec MX-5 Cooling System Checklist

Spec racing often breeds close competition – bumper-to-bumper drafting – not permitting much airflow to cool the race car. When paired with warm or hot climate, race cars can overheat, ending a racer’s day. To hedge or prevent this outcome in Spec MX-5, Mazda Motorsports wrote the Vehicle Technical Specifications that govern the spec of the race car to enable the racers and teams to fairly and affordably modify the cars accordingly. To further support, Mazda Motorsports created a Spec MX-5 cooling system checklist (included with guidance) on what to do found here. And as always, the creator of the spec – Josh Smith of Mazda Motorsports – is available for further support.
