Bryce Cornet data review

World Racing League: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

As the World Racing League (WRL) is set to compete this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Complex, so is Bryce Cornet, Formula Mazda SCCA National Champion and MX-5 Cup Shootout finalist.

Cornet debuts at Mid-Ohio, which marks WRL’s third event of the 12 planned this year for its national championship series (full schedule here); each event hosts two races. Provided the opportunity to race with Time Share Racing and Motorsport Enterprises Racing in a Mazda Spec MX-5 on Sunday within the GP3 category as well as a custom built dual clutch Mazda MX-5 in the GP2 category on Saturday, Cornet will compete this weekend with seven teammates: William Snyder, Whitney Strickland, Paul Ravaris, Austin Kaszuba, Tom Crum, Phil Green and Darrin George.

The weekend consists of two eight-hour long races, offering two-hour stints to each of the four drivers per car.

“Among the great amount of seat time, I get to really hone my tire and fuel management skills,” commented Cornet. “Both management skills are extremely important for new or experienced drivers. Both will be important as we seek to capitalize on our strategy to come away with a win!”

Both race cars are a part of Time Share Racing’s fleet of cars for rent. Created by William Snyder, Time Share Racing’s concept is sharing capital and expenses to get into grassroots endurance racing affordably and quickly. Race drivers split the capital cost of the cars and the operating expenses.
