Key improvements include a stronger billet alloy flange, larger bearing capacity, thicker flange structure, improved stress distribution, and increased spline engagement for durability.
RX-8 Performance Without the Complexity
This hub delivers RX-8-level durability without requiring uprights, hybrid axles, or RX-8-specific components. It remains fully compatible with standard NC MX-5 components, making it a true bolt-in upgrade.
Validated in Competition
Track-tested throughout the 2022 season across multiple race cars, the hub demonstrated improved bearing life, increased durability, and reduced failure rates under racing conditions. This has been used in SMX for many seasons now and has shown great success.

Compared to RX-8 conversions ranging from approximately $1,944 to $2,974, the Mazda Motorsports hub solution comes in around $1,180, saving between $764 and $1,794 per car while reducing labor time and complexity.
Simplified Installation
The system is designed as a direct replacement using standard NC MX-5 axles, requiring no custom fabrication and reducing installation time to approximately two hours.
