Behind The Zoom Data Webinar – Daytona

Mazda factory driver Andrew Carbonell and AiM Sports’ Roger Caddell team up to offer valuable insight into effectively using data acquisition, tailored for Daytona International Speedway.

MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development and AiM Sports will team up for a data acquisition Webinar on Sept. 1 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern/5:30 p.m. Pacific. Mazda factory driver Andrew Carbonell and AiM National Training Manager Roger Caddell will provide valuable insight into using and analyzing data tailored for Daytona International Speedway.

According to our factory driver and professional driving coach Tom Long, “There are aspects of data you will want to focus on. The most important one is speed vs. distance, which should likely take up about 80 percent of your time. However, one should only focus on two to three data takeaways before going on track so you are not overloaded. Typically when one attempts to, we see him or her actually take a step back. Simply, start with the low hanging fruit.”

That’s one of the things that Andrew Carbonell will cover in the online seminar, conducted similarly to the other BEHIND THE ZOOM Webinars where these experts can respond to participants’ questions (your questions) throughout. This data Webinar will focus on data’s use in improving driver performance, although it may touch on vehicle performance and vehicle health as well. Future seminars may cover the other uses of data.

Mazda Team Members should check their Tuesday weekly eNewsletter on August 25 or Sept. 1 for instructions on joining the Webinar. Don’t forget that MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development carries a full line of AiM Sports data acquisition systems. Log on now or call 800.435.2508 to get yours.
