There has been a lot of information lately regarding the all-new 2016 Mazda MX-5 Cup car development and the upcoming 2016 MX-5 Cup race season. But what will become of all the 2006-2015 MX-5 Cup race cars once the 2015 season closes? Are there places to race this car? The answer is YES! SCCA and NASA offer classes for the MX-5 Cup car to race with little to no modifications for eligibility. The MX-5 Cup car is also a favorite of track day drivers and private club track competitors. Further modification opens the door for additional class eligibility.
